Can Parents Swim During Their Child’s Lesson?

I have had several parents ask me if they could swim during their child’s lesson.  The answer really depends on the days that your swimmer is having lessons.

Currently, Thursdays are the only day that we conduct lessons during open swim time.  Mondays and Tuesdays we share the pool with the SG Poseidon Eppelheim swim club so there really is not option to swim on these days.

I do encourage you to bring your swimmer to the pool a second time per week in order to practice their skills.  Listed below you will find the open swim times for the Hallenbad Eppelheim.

Rules of the Pool:

Many of you did a great job of remembering to make sure that there were no street shoes worn on the pool deck last week.  Thank you!

I do however need to remind you of a few other rules we need to follow at the pool:

1.  Every swimmer MUST take a rinse off shower before entering the pool (This is German law)!

2.  Parents are more than welcome to watch their swimmer during class as long as they are wearing deck attire (shorts and t-shirt) and do not coach their swimmer from the sidelines :)

3.  Thursday swimmers must check-in with the front desk so that they can keep track of how many swimmers come each week because our class is during open swim.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to hit reply or give me a call @ +49-171-280-9054

Swimmingly,

Coach Jason

Parent Testimonial:
“Jason,

Just a quick note to let you know that we appreciate your efforts

very much.  Everything is just fantastic — the pool, the pool staff, the class size – and of course, your instruction.

Yesterday, Claire had forgotten her swimsuit and was in tears.  We went to the staff at the front desk, and two very nice men assisted us in loaning her a swimsuit to wear so she could attend her first class.

Also, they advised that if my husband or I want to swim while they are in your class, it is just Euro 2,50.  So, it’s really just an ideal situation.

Thanks very much.”

Swim Wear
Several of you have asked me where you can order swim wear.

I recommend The Finals, not only because they have quality products at an extreme value, but because they ship fast to APO addresses (usually within 10 days).

If you would like a catalog just stop me at the pool and I’ll give you one (FREE).

NO Orientation Tonight (Thursday, Nov. 5)!

Parents,

When I wrote you yesterday I was still planning on having the orientation tonight. I am cancelling the orientation after going to the doctor yesterday and learning that I have the FLU. It is likely H1N1, but the reusults wilI be back sometime today. I think its better to be over cautious.

I am going to call all of you, and discuss each swimmer’s abilities to make sure they are put into the right class. I have done this before and I was right on.

For those of you that are part of the swim team (Sea Lions), I am creating a seperate class for your swimmers so there is no need for an assessment.

For some reason I have no mobile (cell/handy) numbers for anyone who has registered. Please send me an email with your mobile (cell/handy) number so that I can have it on file in case of an emergency.

Swimmingly,

Coach Jason
